Our story began with a passionate aspiring chiropractor named Börje Thuleskär. As he deepened his understanding of human anatomy and physiology, he became increasingly aware of how crucial sleep is for the body and the mind. So he invested in a new bed, the best the market had to offer. But his initial excitement quickly turned to disappointment, even the best fell short of his expectations.
One balmy summer day, Börje set sail for Stora Kornö, a small island off the Swedish west coast town of Lysekil. He explored the soft, rolling cliffs and crevasses along the shoreline. Then he spread his picnic blanket over an inviting bed of heather and lay down, basking in the sun and the surrounding natural beauty. And he was amazed at how comfortable he was. Stretched out on the heather, he was more relaxed and rejuvenated than when he was resting on his own premium bed.
That realisation sparked an idea. And that idea turned into a quest – to build the perfect bed, one that would mimic the feeling of weightlessness Börje had on the heather and capture the beauty of the island landscape.
